Golden Retriever – Health & Care Terms

At Clawsome Corner, we work hard to ensure every Golden Retriever puppy leaves our care healthy, socialized, and ready to join your family. Before purchase, a licensed veterinarian examines each puppy and confirms that it shows no signs of infection or contagious illness. After pickup, we continue supporting you so your puppy can settle comfortably into its new home.

We prepare every puppy thoroughly; however, several factors—such as genetics, nutrition, hygiene, environment, and ongoing veterinary care—shape long-term health. Although we cannot prevent all future health concerns, we provide each puppy in the best health possible based on current examinations and available information.

Each puppy includes a health record with vaccinations and deworming. You will take responsibility for future boosters and deworming schedules. If a genetic issue appears, we may offer a replacement once required conditions are met. You must provide a written report from a licensed veterinarian that confirms a clear genetic defect and includes the clinic’s contact number. If the puppy passes away, an autopsy that states the exact cause of death is also required. We review all documents and may verify the diagnosis with our chosen veterinarian.

This warranty applies only to the original buyer. Parasites are not covered because puppies can pick them up during travel. Some puppies may have umbilical or inguinal hernias; if surgery becomes necessary, we provide compensation of $50 or $75. Many hernias resolve naturally and can be repaired during spaying or neutering.

We raise and source our puppies responsibly, but proper care from the owner remains essential. If you can no longer keep your puppy, you may return it with the original paperwork for a refund.

Clawsome Corner includes a one-year general health warranty and a three-year genetic warranty. We also guarantee the absence of grade-3 or higher heart murmurs unless disclosed. Illnesses that appear more than 72 hours after pickup or those linked to the buyer’s transportation choice are not covered.

Buyer Agrees To:

• Purchase the puppy solely for personal companionship, not for resale or for any pet store, puppy mill, or broker.

• Ensure regular veterinary checkups and follow all vaccination and booster recommendations.

• Maintain annual exams, preventive care, and a safe environment.

• Seek prior permission from Clawsome Corner before breeding or producing registered litters, if applicable.

Exceptions to the Guarantee

This warranty does not cover worms, fleas, mites, giardia, coccidiosis, or other common parasites that puppies may contract easily.
Clawsome Corner does not assume responsibility for any veterinary expenses.
